North America XIV Florida. This significant early map of Florida is one of the earliest separate maps of the state to be published in a commercial atlas. It was published by the aptly named Society for the Diffusion of Useful Knowledge. It is by Tanner, engraved by J.& C. Walker and published by Baldwin and Cradock in 1834, London. There is an inset of Apalachicola Bay to just west of Pensacola. It measures 13 1/2 x 16 1/3.
