Valley of the Red River, La. Mississippi River to Schreveport "illustrating the campaign under Major-General N.P.Banks in the spring of 1864." This map was part of the Atlas to Accompany the Official Records of the Union and Confederate Armies, compiled by Calvin D. Cowles, 23rd U.S Infantry and printed between 1891-95. It was published in Washington by the Government Printing Office Plate LII and is a chromolithograph, 1893. It is a highly detailed map especially around Alexandria, Marksville, Mansfield and Natchitoches. 18 1/2 x 29 1/2 inches.
