Moqui Dancers, Moqui Pipe, Navajo cradle and Head Dress lithograph, c. 1870s Seth Eastman, painter (1808-1875), became interested in Indian culture while stationed in the western states after graduation from West Point. Nine of his paintings of Indian life and 17 paintings of U.S. forts are in the Capitol Bldg in Washington, D.C.
